Bon Centuri voyage

One of our favorite travel destinations in France is the wine capital of the world - Bordeaux. With it’s many restaurants, attractions and vineyards it is a perfect weekend-destination. Here we list our top 3 recommendations:

Le Quatrieme mur. Star chef Philippe Etchebests brasserie next to the famous opera house serves elegant dishes typical for the region but with a modern twist. How about smoked duck in cauliflower cream sauce? Simply delicious.

Arcachon. About an hour outside of Bordeaux, on the Atlantic coast, lies Arcachon. Famous for being a popular swimming destination, we go here to eat oysters. En masse. The best way to have them is to stop by one of the many roadside vendors, buy half a dozen and gulp them down with a nice cold glass of wine right away. A truly unique experience.

Wine tasting:
We love the wines of Saint Emilion. The small village is located just east of Bordeaux, and there the Merlot grape dominates, often together with our favorite grape Cabernet Franc. Make sure to book a wine tasting at Chateau Beau-Sejour Becot. They make great wines and their wine cellar is incredibly impressive. Don’t miss to sign up for the tour!
